Big Idea Reflection

How did you decide on your Big Idea?
I decided my Big Idea project after watching the movie "Fast Food Nation" in health, and i also really hate McDonald's food, so i decided to make a film depicting a distaste for McDonald's (and fast food in general) and the health risks in which McDonald's brings.

How did you decide on a way to show that Big Idea through video?
I decided to show how eating fast food would affect someone over time, even if the person started out perfectly fine.

What video concepts did you decide not to do? Why?
I'm not sure what you mean?

Do you feel you effectively talked about your Big Idea with your video? Why or why not?
I do, because i depicted what the risks of eating fast food regularly are by showing a person eating it a lot, and then having a heart attack.

What was the best part of this process (brainstorming, writing, planning, shooting, editing, etc?) Why was it the best for you?
I enjoyed the editing, because i generally like editing film. That's sort of why i take this class. Although planning what to do was also fun, because there were so many different ways i could have gone about this.

What was the best part of choosing your own Big Idea as opposed to me setting one for you? The worst part?
By choosing my own project, I could do whatever my little heart desired. However, it was a very broad order to fill.

Propose one additional Big Idea video idea that you could accomplish by March 14. I want very specific details: what, who, why, how, when, where.
What: A teen love story similar to Romeo and Juliet.
Who: A teen male who has been dating a teen girl for a long time. But she gets kidnapped and killed.
Why: She is kidnapped and killed because her father is a very wealthy man.
How: He seeks revenge and then gets killed by the police because he kills her captors and then the popo find him in the bloody mess of everhting and shoot him just as he is walking to the girls body. He falls dead an inch away from her.
When: No specific time.
Where: No specific place; except the end blood bath should be in an abandon shack or something.
