Protagonist vs. Antagonist Brainstorm Writing

Copy and paste this onto your blog. (command C, command V)

You will write details about six characters; three antagonists, three protagonists.

Begin with one character, a protagonist. Write down their name. Write their current desires and motivations in life. Write down their childhood/backstory. These are the most important pieces.

Now write down their physical description, physical quirks, personality flaws. This is secondary to the motivation and backstory. It’s the icing on the cake, and it’s still important.

Now write that character’s nemesis using the exact same process (desires, backstory, physical ing onionsand personality quirks, etc). Think about why and how they are blocking the protagonist from achieving their goal. Is it malicious? Accidental?

Repeat this with two other sets of characters.

NOTE: You do not have to use all or any of these characters for your video if you don’t want to. It is an exercise to get you thinking about character building. On the other hand, this may trigger some brilliant thought that leads to a wonderful video project. You won’t know unless you put your heart and head into it.

Protagonist:

Joe Jackson- Always wanted to be famous, hates the world and himself. Tried to drink away his sorrows and regrets but was allergic to alcohol. Hates himself, tried to cut himself, but gets woozy at the sight of blood and can only ever give himself paper cuts. Has a mental issue in which he thinks he is a dragon that breathes fiery bubbles. Was found on his foster mothers doorstep but by the age of thirteen he knew they weren't related because he was black and she was korean... Ran away and was found by the police in a dumpster. When asked what was wrong and if anything bad had happened to him he replied "kalhflihfihnfkfjheiwjekn!!!!!" and ran off yelling "I'm on fire!!!! I'm on fire! 'Ello govna!" Cray Cray..... Bustin's childhood friend and still his closest friend.

Antagonist:

Ivan (unknown)- Russian former Spetnaz, a soldier bred from birth. He was a super soldier, came out of his mother's womb three months earlier than expected because he wanted to. Society doesn't know what to do with him, so they employ him as a soldier. He is the only soldier in the Russian Spetnez Black Arm army because he's all they need. Always wanted to be a soldier, has a secret love for flowers and dancing. He is also a closeted gay and tells his victims this right before he kills them. Turns into a serial killer when the Russian Army sends him to the U.S. to be an insurgent. Works for Bustin as a security contractor, and remains unsuspected of killing anyone.

Protagonist:

Bustin Jowers- A funny entrepreneur in the world of technology, created the Pear products, "similar to Apple, but it's not." That's their slogan. Has a keen sense of business and humor. To get to the top he had done many things he is proud of, but others wouldn't be. He always wanted to be a dancer though. His childhood was always a crazy one, in which he consistently fought with his imaginary puppy named Corey. His mother sent him to a mental institution "but with the help of corey and this pear I escaped." He was actually holding a rusty knife, but no one wanted to tell him, for obvious reasons. Best friends with Joe.

Antagonist:

Krystal Ball- Stripper, doesn't want to be. She is only doing it to pay for college. Southern born and now lives in Wyoming. She is visiting Bustin as h was her first real boyfriend, and thinks she is in love. Kind of white trash. Always wanted to be a surgeon. Wants to kill Joe because he is F@*&#&G crazy! Wants Bustin to leave with her and go back to Wyoming. Starts to stop loving Bustin, and starts loving Ivan and only wants Bustin's money.

Protagonist:

Ben Dover- Another friend of Bustin's. Was in the army but was kicked out because he "asked and told." Was a supreme sniper though. Found out that Krystal loves Ivan and is just using Bustin. Plans to kill her. Has a habit of revealing his thoughts allowed and accidently tells Krystal "I'm going to kill you." Wants to be a sniper forever. Slightly maniacal and a psychopath because he quite enjoys killing his targets by shooting them in the legs, arms, then the right side of the chest and then the mouth. Very messed up childhood, always gave his mom dead animals as a gift.

Antagonist:

Mike Hawk- A contract killing assassin and best friends with Ivan. Hired by Krystal to take Ben Dover out, because Krystal tells him that Ben is plotting to kill Bustin and Ivan. Kills people using knives because it's more fun. As a child he was always a happy boy, until his sister was raped and killed along with his parents. When Mike found them he vowed revenge and hunted down the killer and slit his throat with the same knife that his sister was killed with. Ever since his first kill at the age of twelve, he couldn't stop. But he needed money and so he became a hit-man. Has a uncontrollable need to always have a tulip with him.
