What is Creativity?

Creativity can be described as so many things. It is the term used to classify the special thing that people use to express themselves. It can be shown in the form of art, literature, or even the way you look. A person can choose to express themselves in a way that is not the society's norm, and by doing so, are expressing their creativeness.

The expression of creativity in art work is very obvious, as every part of it is the creativity of the artist. They are expressing their feelings, their views, and themselves into what they create! Hense, creat-ivity!

Literature also takes creativity to compose. The Author doesn't just jot down random jibberish, they think deeply or write about themselves and what has happened to them in their life. They are expressing how they might feel, such as a satire expresses the sarcastic views on a topic. Expression is, perhaps a synonym for creativity, because if you express yourself, you are showing the world your creativeness, even if it may only be miniscule.

The way you present yourself into society is also a form of creativity, because they way you dress gives  people a look into the way you feel. For example, if you dress in dark clothes with lots of chains and rainbow hair, your being creative with how you look and expressing that you want to be different... or a serial killer. Either way, your'e expressing yourself in some way.

Creativity is not, however, just putting on something different to wear, to look at, or to simulate self expression, because it wouldn't be true creativity. It would be, rather, the copying of how other people express themselves and show THEIR creativity. You need to find out a way to express yourself, not how to simulate others creativity to call it your own.

Creativity is the art of expression and can never be faked or copied, because it is unique to each and every individual.
